Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents after the town in which she grew in. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's dad was born into an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. In the year Ryder was seven, her family moved into Mendocino County California. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder read a lot due to the lack of television. At the age of twelve, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas the film, which was released in 1986, was her first major character. Ryder was fifteen when she landed the role. Ryder was bullied in her high school. She hoped that her acting career would end this. Unfortunately, that did not occur. However, she was determined to pursue her dreams. Her big break was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued playing characters that made a splash in several movies. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her part on The Age of Innocence (1993).
