Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is the owner and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. The California native Buss was raised in an upper class family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in the field of real estate and later became owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. Their relationship ended in 1972 which made her feel like she was neglected. In 1972, at age 19, she began working within the family's company. The team was later renamed in the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. In the beginning, she was vice president of Lakers before she assumed the position of president of Great Western Forum. Buss as well as her five sisters took over the Lakers control following the death of Busshis father in the year 2013. Every sister was given an equal voice. She assumed the office of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its headquarters in Los Angeles.
